My Story
My initial fling with the sport of bowling started during the summer of 1966. Only 13 at the time, I was mowing lawns for a “living” – and only made my first visit to the local 10-lane center to escape the scorching mid-day heat and humidity. But the bowling bug hit me, and my daily routine soon included at least three games of bowling, if not a dozen. At the end of the summer, the proprietor invited me to join the youth league, but unfortunately, I was the only kid to show up, and the league was canceled. It wasn't until college that bowling changed my life.
