MADNESS Format
1. Scratch
The MADNESS is a pure scratch event. No handicaps or average-based divisions will be used.
2. Qualifying

Eight Qualifying Squads: Four games across four pairs of lanes. Re-entries are allowed.

Friday, September 4, at 9:00, 11:30, 2:00, and 4:30.

Saturday, September 5, at 9:00, 11:30, 2:00, and 4:30.

One Desperado Squad: A single-game re-entry event held on Saturday evening immediately following Qualifying Squad 8. Spots are limited and prioritized by original tournament entry date.
3. Finals
Single-elimination, head-to-head match play.
4. Advancement
The following sixty-four bowlers, in sequence, will advance to Sunday’s finals:

Top 8 Seniors (50+ as of September 4, 2026)

Top 8 Non-PBA One-Handed
-
Top 8 Non-PBA Two-Handed

Top 8 Open Division
-
Top 4 eight-game totals, regardless of division (At-Large).

At least 20 and up to 24 bowlers, based on four-game totals, *regardless of division (At-Large).

Top 4 Desperados
*At least four Pinnacle League bowlers are guaranteed to advance to Sunday’s finals, either by finishing in the top 8 of a division or being awarded an At-Large bracket spot.
